The Netherlands Arbitration Institute celebrated its 60 years of existence on 26 November 2009 in Bagagehal Loods 6 in Amsterdam by organizing a congress during the afternoon and a walking dinner with cabaret and live music during the evening.
The number of participants made it clear that the NAI is very much alive!
On 24 November 2009 the NAI Board approved the NAI Code of Conduct for the NAI Mediator as well as the NAI Complaints Scheme regarding NAI Mediators. As from 4 January 2010 you may download these documents.
The new NAI Mediation Rules came into force on 1 March 2009 and replaced the 2001 NAI Minitrial Rules. The 2001 NAI Minitrial Rules apply to mediation (minitrial) proceedings requested prior to 1 March 2009. The new Mediation Rules apply to mediation proceedings requested on or before 1 March 2009.
On 1 March, the NAI’s fees for administering arbitration and binding advice proceedings changed somewhat. To view the new administration costs, please click here.
